The evening begins with Wagner’s Forest Murmurs from Siegfried, a shimmering, dreamlike piece that evokes the mystery and magic of the forest. We then welcome guest harpist Rosanna Moore for Glière’s Concerto for Harp and Orchestra, a rarely performed treasure that highlights the harp’s lyrical beauty and virtuosic sparkle. The concert concludes with the profound grandeur of Sibelius’s Symphony No. 7—his final symphonic statement, unfolding in a single, seamless movement of emotional depth and soaring power.
