Sounds of Nature and Romance

Friday, October 24, 2025 at 7:30 pm – 9:00 pm at the Orchard Park Presbyterian Church.

Join us for the captivating opening night of our new season with a program that celebrates nature, lyricism, and symphonic brilliance. The evening begins with Wagner’s Forest Murmurs from Siegfried, a shimmering, dreamlike piece that evokes the mystery and magic of the forest. We then welcome guest harpist Rosanna Moore for Glière’s Concerto for Harp and Orchestra, a rarely performed treasure that highlights the harp’s lyrical beauty and virtuosic sparkle. The concert concludes with the profound grandeur of Sibelius’s Symphony No. 7—his final symphonic statement, unfolding in a single, seamless movement of emotional depth and soaring power.

Holiday Spectacular!

Enjoy a heartwarming evening filled with timeless classics and holiday cheer, featuring selections from It’s a Wonderful Life, The Polar Express, and Leroy Anderson’s beloved Sleigh Ride and Christmas Festival. Experience the sparkle of Bach’s Brandenburg Concerto No. 4, showcasing soloists Nicole McPherson, Rachel Decker, and Jessica Anthony, and be transported by Prokofiev’s magical Winter Bonfire, narrated by Laurence Tallman. With enchanting harp, dazzling flutes, and a festive sing-along finale, this concert is the perfect way to welcome the holidays with music that warms the heart.

Lights, camera, orchestra! Join us for Film Night, a thrilling celebration of iconic movie music—performed in a special side-by-side concert with the Southtowns Youth Orchestra. Together, our musicians bring Hollywood’s greatest scores to life, from the sweeping romance of Casablanca and the haunting beauty of Gabriel’s Oboe to the nostalgic adventure of Back to the Future and the classic drama of Sunset Boulevard. After intermission, we honor the legendary John Williams with unforgettable themes from Harry Potter, Schindler’s List, Indiana Jones, Star Wars, and more. Whether you’re a movie buff or a music lover, this cinematic evening will inspire audiences of all ages!

Hammer of Fate!

Known for its overwhelming intensity, sweeping beauty, and the legendary hammer blows of fate, this monumental work explores the heights and depths of the human spirit. With its massive orchestration and raw emotional power, Mahler’s Sixth is a concert experience unlike any other. Join us for this rare and unforgettable musical journey—one that has never before echoed through Orchard Park.

Business Sponsorships

The Orchard Park Symphony Orchestra is inviting businesses to show their Season Support for its 77th season by being recognized in its concert program booklets, which reach 1,500–2,000 audience members plus local merchants. Season Support donations start at $125 for a 1/8-page recognition (business card size), with larger contributions earning larger placements. Sponsorship donations of $1,500+ include full-page recognition, concert-day promotion, and opportunities for additional visibility. Space is limited, and the deadline is September 20, 2025. This is both a way to promote your business and a chance to support a long-standing community nonprofit.

Once your order is placed, we will contact you to retrieve a copy of your business promotion.
